SCSI Disk Utilities

SCSI Disk Utilities scans a device connected to the selected channel and displays information on the device. If the device is a hard disk drive, you can perform low-level formatting or verification. When you choose “SCSI Disk Utilities” in the “Options” menu, which is shown after selecting a channel to be configured, the screen for scanning SCSI IDs is displayed.

After the scanning the screen showing SCSI IDs and corresponding devices appears.

When you select a device on this screen and press the Enter key, details of the device is shown. If the selected device is a hard disk drive, you can execute the following submenus.

zFormat Disk: performs low-level formatting for the selected device

zVerify Disk Media: compares (verifies) all sectors of the selected device and if there is any bad sector, re-assignment will be performed.
