Step 4 Click the backup stations (multiple stations can be selected) in the list to select it, then use the IP-KINDdrop-down menu to specify whether the backup station is a Dterm IP, SIP phone, etc.

Step 5 Click the Secondary drop-down menu to specify the PBX to which the selected station will attempt to connect if communication with the primary PBX fails.

Step 6 (Optional) Click the Tertiary drop-down menu to specify the PBX to which the selected station will attempt to connect if communication with both the primary and secondary PBXs fails.

Step 7 (Optional) Click New TELN to create a new extension number for the backup station.

Use only if there is no TELN number listed in the Primary TELN section.

NOTE

Step 8 Click OK to accept the assignments.

The new backup station displays in the list with a green background, indicating the data has not yet been uploaded to the PBX.

Editing Existing Backup Stations

The editing process allows the Installation Manager user to modify the following:

Pool Number

Tenant

SFC

RSC

Name Display

Key Template

MAC Address

Step 1 Use the FPC drop-down menu to select the Fusion Point Code of the

PBX containing the station you wish to edit.

Step 2 Click a station in the TELN/TEC list, then click Edit. Figure 13-10displays
