The Boot Options Menu

To use the Boot Options Menu, you must be logged in to the switch as the administrator. The Boot Options Menu provides options for:

„Selecting a switch software image to be used when the switch is next reset

„Selecting a configuration block to be used when the switch is next reset

„Downloading or uploading a new software image to the switch via FTP/TFTP

In addition to the Boot Menu, you can use a Web browser or SNMP to work with switch image and configuration files. To use SNMP, refer to “Working with Switch Images and Configura- tion Files” on page 368.
