Command Syntax and Usage

trigg disableenable

Enables or disables Triggered Updates. Triggered Updates are used to speed convergence. When enabled, Triggered Updates force a router to send update messages immediately, even if it is not yet time for the update message. The default setting is enabled.

mcast disableenable

Enables or disables multicast updates of the routing table (using address 224.0.0.9). The default setting is enabled.

default nonelistensupplyboth

Configures the default route action. The default setting is none.

metric <1-15>

Configures the route metric, which indicates the relative distance to the destination. The default value is 1.

auth nonepassword

Configures the authentication type. The default is none.

key

Configures the authentication key password.

enable

Enables this RIP interface.

disable

Disables this RIP interface.

current

Displays the current RIP configuration.
