/cfg/sys/ldap

LDAP Server Configuration

LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) is an authentication protocol that allows a remote access server to forward a user's logon password to an authentication server to deter- mine whether access can be allowed to a given system.

[LDAP Server Menu]

prisrv

- Set IP address of primary LDAP server

secsrv

- Set IP address of secondary LDAP server

port

- Set LDAP port number

retries

- Set number of LDAP server retries

timeout

- Set timeout value of LDAP server retries

domain

- Set domain name

telnet

- Enable/disable LDAP backdoor for telnet/ssh/http

on

- Enable LDAP authentication

off

- Disable LDAP authentication

cur

- Display current LDAP settings

Command Syntax and Usage

prisrv <IP address>

Defines the primary LDAP server address.

secsrv <IP address>

Defines the secondary LDAP server address.

port <LDAP port configure, default 389>

Enter the number of the TCP port to be configured, between 1 - 65000. The default is 389.

retries <LDAP server retries, 1-3>

Sets the number of failed authentication requests before switching to a different LDAP server. The default is 3 requests.

timeout <LDAP server timeout seconds, 4-15>

Sets the amount of time, in seconds, before a LDAP server authentication attempt is considered to have failed. The default is 5 seconds.

domain <domain name (1-128 characters)>none

Sets the domain name for the LDAP server. Enter the full path for your organization. For example:

ou=people,dc=mydomain,dc=com
