9.SERVICEABILITY

9.1Fault Isolation

9.1.1Field problems will be diagnosed by replacement of circuit boards and mechanical components, with the aid of local diagnosis.

9.1.2Problem diagnosis will be accomplished by the use of a standard 20 K ohm/volt volt-ohm meter (VOM).

9.1.3Cables or special tools will be designed by OKI if required for field service.

9.2Adjustments

All adjustments will be defined including procedures, unique test charts, and special tools. A recommendation on field and shop adjustments will be provided.

9.3Assembly/Disassembly

A field service technician will not have to use a soldering iron to remove any replaceable sub- assembly.

9.4Connector Designation

No label will be provided for identification of plugs because adequate measures against mis- insertion of plugs are taken in the system by; (1) different number of connector pins, (2) different connector pin pitch, and (3) connector cable not in reach.
