Adjusting the Iris (F Number) Manually

To achieve special creative effects or to cope with special lighting situations or fast-action scenes, you can adjust the iris (F number) manually.

1Set the Mode Selector Switch to

[MANUAL].

The [MNL] Indication appears.

2Press the [PUSH] Dial twice.

The [EF] Indication appears.

3Turn the [PUSH] Dial to adjust the iris.

Range of Iris Adjustment

CLOSE (Closed) mF16.0...F1.7 mOPEN (Opened) +0dB...+12dB

The nearer to [CLOSE] a value you select, the darker the picture becomes.

The nearer to [OPEN] a value you select, the brighter the picture becomes.

The figures with +dB show the Gain-up value. If you increase the value too much, the picture quality deteriorates.

Réglage manuel du diaphragme

Pour obtenir certains effets créatifs ou pour s’adapter à certaines situations d’éclairage ou aux séquences aux mouvements rapides, on peut régler manuellement le diaphragme.

1Mettre l’interrupteur de sélection de

mode sur [MANUAL].

L’indication [MNL] apparaît.

2Appuyer deux fois sur la molette

[PUSH].

L’indication [EF] apparaît.

3Tourner la molette [PUSH] pour régler le diaphragme.

Plage de réglage du diaphragme

CLOSE (fermé) mF16.0...F1.7 mOPEN (ouvert) o0dB...o12dB

Plus la valeur sélectionnée est proche de [CLOSE], plus l’image devient foncée.

Plus la valeur sélectionnée est proche de [OPEN], plus l’image devient claire.

Les nombres accompagnés de odB indiquent la valeur d’augmentation du gain. Si l’on augmente excessivement la valeur, l’image devient médiocre.

Returning to the Normal Iris Value (F Number)

Set the Mode Selector Switch to [AUTO].

♦Manually adjusting the shutter speed (m47) after performing manual iris adjustment changes the iris back to automatic adjustment.

Therefore, if you want to adjust both the shutter speed and iris manually, be sure to adjust the shutter speed first.

♦If you have adjusted the iris, it is not possible to select a Program AE Mode ([5], [7], [4], [ ] or [ ]) or the Gain-up Mode [GAINUP] on the [MENU (D.FUNCTION)] Menu.

Retour à la valeur de diaphragme normale

Mettre l’interrupteur de sélection de mode sur [AUTO].

♦Si la vitesse d’obturateur (m47) est réglée manuellement après que le réglage manuel du diaphragme a été effectué, le diaphragme retournera automatiquement au réglage automatique. Si vous désirez régler la vitesse d’obturateur ainsi que le diaphragme, veillez à régler d’abord la vitesse d’obturateur.

♦Si le diaphragme a été réglé, les modes de programe AE ([5], [7], [4], [ ] ou [ ]), ainsi que le mode d’augmentation de gain [GAINUP] du menu

[MENU (D.FUNCTION)] ne peuvent pas être sélectionnés.
