Before Requesting Service (Problems & Solutions)

Power Supply

P1:	The Camera Recorder does not turn on.
S1:	Is the Battery or the AC Adapter connected
	correctly? Confirm the connection. (m12)
P2:	The Camera Recorder has turned off
	automatically.
S2:	If you leave the Camera Recorder in the
	Recording Pause Mode for more than 6 minutes,
	it automatically switches off to protect the tape
	and to conserve battery power. (m19)

P3: The Camera Recorder quickly turns off.

S3-1: Is the Battery discharged? When the Remaining Battery Power Indication is flashing or the [y] Indication is displayed, the Battery is discharged. Charge the Battery or insert a fully charged Battery. (m13, 82)

S3-2: Has condensation formed? If the Camera Recorder is brought from a cold to a warm place, condensation may form inside. In this case, the Camera Recorder automatically switches off and no operation can be performed except taking out the cassette. Wait until the Condensation Indication disappears. (m72)

Battery

P1: The Battery discharges quickly.

S1-1: Is the Battery fully charged? Charge it until Charge Lamp on the AC Adapter goes off. (m13)

S1-2: Are you using the Battery in a place where the temperature is very low? The ambient temperature greatly influences the Battery’s performance. Its operation time becomes shorter in a cold place. (m70)

S1-3: Has the Battery reached the end of its service life? The service life of the Battery is limited. It depends on the way the Battery is used, but when the operation time even after proper charging is too short for normal use, the service life of the Battery has reached its end.

P2:	The Battery cannot be charged.
S2:	If the DC Input cable is connected to the AC
	Adapter, charging is not possible. Disconnect the
	DC Input cable.

Alimentation

P1:	Le caméscope ne se met pas en circuit.
S1:	La batterie ou le bloc d’alimentation/charge sont-
	ils correctement branchés? Vérifier le
	branchement. (m12)

P2:	Le caméscope s’est mis automatiquement
	hors circuit.
S2:	Si vous laissez le caméscope en mode pause
	d’enregistrement pendant plus de six minutes, il
	se met automatiquement hors circuit afin de
	protéger le ruban et de conserver l’énergie de la
	batterie. (m19)

P3: Le caméscope se met rapidement hors circuit.

S3-1: La batterie est-elle déchargée? Si l’indication d’énergie restant dans la batterie clignote ou si l’indication [y] apparaît, alors la batterie est déchargée. Chargez la batterie ou insérez une batterie complètement chargée. (m13, 82)

S3-2: De la condensation s’est-elle formée? Si le caméscope est transporté d’un endroit froid à un endroit chaud, il peut y avoir formation de condensation dans le caméscope. Dans ce cas, le caméscope se met automatiquement hors circuit et aucune opération n’est plus possible à l’exception du retrait de la cassette. Attendez que l’indication de condensation ait disparu. Batterie

P1: La batterie se décharge rapidement.

S1-1: La batterie est-elle complètement chargée? Chargez-la jusqu’à ce que tous le témoin de charge du bloc d’alimentation/charge s’éteint. (m13)

S1-2: La batterie est-elle utilisée dans un endroit à température très basse? La température ambiante a une influence considérable sur le fonctionnement de la batterie. Sa durée de fonctionnement diminue dans un endroit froid.

S1-3: La durée de vie de la batterie est-elle terminée? La durée de vie de la batterie est limitée. Elle dépend de la manière dont on utilise la batterie, mais si la durée de fonctionnement est trop courte pour assurer une utilisation normale même après qu’on ait chargé la batterie, cela signifieque la durée de vie de la batterie est terminée.

P2:	Impossible de recharger la batterie.
S2:	Si le fil d’entrée c.c. est raccordé au bloc
	d’alimentation/charge, la recharge ne sera pas
	possible. Débrancher le fil d’entrée c.c.
