Switching audio input

During shooting, you can record up to four channels of sound. You can also switch the input sound to be recorded on each of the channels to the built-in microphones, external microphones or audio equipment connected to camera-recorder. (See table below.)

Using the built-in microphone

However, the following restrictions apply depending on the format used.

Refer to the section “Recording format list” (Page 164) recording format.

When the AVC-I100, AVC-I50, DVCPROHD or DVCPRO50 format is used:

The recording mode is fixed at 4-channel recording.

When the DVCPRO or DV format is used:

Either 2 or 4 channels can be selected using 25M REC CH SEL on the setting menu AUDIO SETUP screen.

1 Switch the AUDIO CH1 SELECT switch to INT (L).

Audio from the built-in microphone Lch is recorded to audio channel 1.

2 Switch the AUDIO CH2 SELECT switch to INT (R).

Audio from the built-in microphone Rch is recorded to audio channel 2.
