Cause/solution

The unit does not work.

L Make sure the battery is installed correctly

 

and fully charged (page 18, 20).

 

L Check the connections (page 17).

 

L Unplug the base unit’s AC adaptor to reset the

 

unit. Reconnect the adaptor and try again.

 

L The handset has not been registered to the

 

base unit. Register the handset (page 76).

lI cannot hear a dial tone

L Confirm the Ethernet cable is properly

for the IP line.

L You have not agreed to the Terms of Use for

 

the Aservices. To use the AIP line, you

 

need to agree to it using the handset (page

 

18).

 

L Check the base unit’s IP address using the

 

handset: {MENU} i{#}{5}{0}{1}

 

If necessary, change the base unit’s static IP

 

address (page 29).

 

L Check your network devices’ (router, modem,

 

etc.) connections. If the connections are made

 

properly but the problem persists, check your

 

network devices’ (router, modem, etc.)

 

settings.

 

L Many installation issues can be resolved by

 

resetting all the equipment. First, shut down

 

your modem, router, base unit, and computer.

 

Then turn the devices back on one at a time in

 

this order: modem, router, base unit,

 

computer.

 

L If you cannot access Internet Web pages

 

using your computer, check to see if your

 

Internet service provider is having connection

 

issues in your area.
