Send (AIS) on Network Failure

Possible Settings: Enable, Disable

Default Setting: Enable

Specifies the action taken on the signal transmitted to the DSX-1 when a valid signal cannot be recovered from the network interface (LOS or OOF).

Enable – An Alarm Indication Signal (AIS) is sent to the DSX-1 port in the event of an

LOS or OOF condition on the network interface.

Disable – The failed signal on the interface is passed through to the DSX-1 network unchanged.

Send All Ones on DSX-1 Failure

Possible Settings: Enable, Disable

Default Setting: Enable

Specifies the action taken on the signal transmitted to the network when a valid signal cannot be recovered from the network interface (LOS or OOF).

Enable – A pattern of all ones is sent to the DSX-1 port in the event of an LOS or LOF condition on the DSX-1 interface.

Disable – The failed signal on the interface is passed through to the DSX-1 network unchanged.

Primary Clock Source

Possible Settings: DSX-1, Internal

Default Setting: Internal

DeterminesTthe primary clock source for the unit in Bypass mode.

Primary Clock Source is available only when the unit is configured as an LTU. If

DSL Line Rate is set lower than 1552 kbps, Primary Clock Source is forced to

DSX-1 and cannot be changed.

Internal – The clock source is derived from the internal oscillator.

DSX-1– The clock source is derived from the DSX-1 interface.
