26 Section 2A: Phone Basics

If the incoming call is from a number stored in your Contacts, the entry’s

name is displayed. The caller’s phone number may also be displayed, if

available.

When receiving a call, the following options are also displayed by pressing

Options(right softkey). To select an option, highlight it and press .

䢇Call Guardto answer the call when you are in roaming mode.

(See “Using Call Guard” on page 79.)

䢇Answeror Answer:Speakerto answer the call.

䢇Select Audioto switch the call to your desired device (if available).

䢇Answer on Holdto put the call on hold.

䢇Screen Callto answer the call by using a prerecorded announcement.

䢇Quiet Ringerto mute the ringer (if available).

Answering a Roam Call With Call Guard Enabled

Call Guard is an option that helps you manage your roaming charges when

making or receiving calls while outside the home network. Please see

Section 2D: Controlling Your Roaming Experience for more information

about roaming.

To answer a call when you are roaming and Call Guard is enabled:

1. Press .

2. Press to proceed while the pop-up message is displayed.

Note: When your phone is off, incoming calls go directly to voicemail.
