Setting the Side Key Guard

This feature enables you to lock external keys while the phone

is closed.

1. Press >Settings > More... > Side Key Guard.

2. SelectOn or Offand press .

Setting Abbreviated Dialing

To activate the Contacts Match feature:

1. Press >Settings > More... > Call Setup.

2. SelectContacts Match > On.

Toactivate the Prepend feature:

1. Press >Settings > More... > Call Setup > Abbrev. Dial.

2. SelectPrepend > On.

3. Enter the firstfive- or six-digit prefix in the Prepend#

field and then press OK(left softkey).

nTodeactivate this feature, selectOffduring

step 2 above.

Note This setting does not apply to 911 or Sprint411.

Tip TomakeanAbbreviated Dial call, see “Using Abbreviated

Dialing”on page 47.

Note This feature does not apply when the phone is open.

Tip You can deactivate this feature temporarily by pressing and

holding the side call key while the phone is closed.
