The display confirms thatthe number has been dialed when it
shows “Connecting...”.
To use speed dial for SprintReady Link calls:
©From standby mode, press the appropriate key and
then press . (See “Assigning Speed Dialing for
SprintReady Link Entries”on page 159.) The display
confirms thatthe number has been dialed when it
shows “R-Link calling...”
Using Abbreviated Dialing
Abbreviated Dialing is similar to speed dialing. You can use
either of the following abbreviated dialing features.
vPh.Book Matchallowsyou to retrieve any number saved in
your Contacts by entering only the lastthree to six digits
of the number,and automatically dials the retrieved
number. (See “To activate the Ph. Book Match feature”on
page 77.)
vPrependallows you to prepend predefined numbers (first
five or six digits) to the lastfour or five digits you enter,
and then automatically dials the number. (See page 77 to
register a prepend number and activate the Prepend
feature.)
To place a call using Ph.Book Match Abbreviated Dialing:
1. Enter the lastthree to six digits of a contact’s phone
number.
2. Press . If there is more than one matched number in
your Contacts list, the Abbrev. Dial listis displayed.
Note: Speed dialing is notavailable when you are roaming; when
you are roaming off the SprintNational Network, you must
always dial using 11 digits (1 + area code + number).
