This command causes reduced-size characters to be superscripted (exponents) or subscripted (indices).

Superscripted characters (exponents) are printed approx. 1 /2 line up. Subscripted characters (indices) are only reduced in size and printed on the base line.

p1	defines subscript or superscript mode
