The character information is transferred in 3 bytes per column. The number of data bytes to be transferred is thus 3 x p4 bytes. If you define more than one character, parameters p3, p4 and p5 must be defined before the dot information of the characters.

There must be sufficient memory space for the user-defined character set (see menu settings [2]).

The function is only valid with 8-bit data transfer (for the menu setting see [2]).
