lIf the lamp shatters orbursts, leavet heroom. Ventilate the areaby openingwindows and
doors.
Next, do the following:
oAvoid touchingthe glass fragments becauset hey can causeinjury.
oWash yourhands thoroughlyif you havecome into contact w ith lamp debris.
oThoroughly cleant hearea aroundthe projector, anddiscard any edible items placed in
that areabecause they could bec ontaminated.
oCall yourauthorized SMART reseller for instructions. Do not attempt to replacet he
lamp.
lReplacingthe lamp modulein a w all-mountedprojectorcan result in a fall or injury. Use
cautionwhen climbing a ladder,and consider removingthe projector fromt hew all-mount
bracketto replace the lamp module.
lUncoveringthe lamp while the projectoris mountedon the wall-mountbracket can lead to
productdamageor personalinjury from fallingpieces of glass if the lampis broken.
lWhenreplacing the projectorlamp module:
oPut the projectorinto Standby modeand wait 30 minutes for the lamp to cool
completely.
oDo not removeany screws otherthan those specified in the lamp replacement
instructions.
oWearprotective eyewear while changingthe lamp module. Failureto do so can cause
injuriesincluding loss of eyesight if the lamp shatters or bursts.
oUse only replacementlamp modulesapproved by SMARTīTechnologies.Contact your
authorizedSMART reseller for replacementparts.
oNeverreplace the lamp modulewith a previously used lamp module.
oAlways handlethe fragile lamp assembly with care to prevent prematurelamp failureor
exposureto mercury. Use gloves when touching the lampmodule. Do not touch the
lampwit h yourf ingers.
oRecycle or dispose of the lampmodule as hazardousw aste in accordancewith local
regulations.
