1. Turnon the projector.
2. Adjust the projectorimage if necessary (see Adjusting the image on page22).
3. Access t heservice menu to reset the lamp hours (seeResett ingthe lamp hours below).
4. Activate the projector’s alert e-mailsand lamp warnings if they’ve beendeactivated (see E-mail
alerts onpage59 and Control panel on page54).
Resetting the lamp hours
After you replacethe lamp module,y ouneed to access t heprojector service menu andreset the lamp
hours.To prevent accidental errors,only a sys tem administratorshould performthis procedure.
IM P O R T A N T
Always reset the lamp hoursafter you replace the lamp, becauselamp service remindersare based
onthe current hours of use.
gTo resetthe lamp hours
1. Using the remote control,press the following buttons quickly to access the service menu:
Down,Up,Up,Left,Up.
CA U T I O N
Do not adjust anys ettings in the service menuother than those listed in this guide. Changing
othersettings can damage oraffect the operationof your projectorand may invalidate your
warranty.
2. Scroll down to LampH ourReset, and thenpress OK.
BothLamp Hour values (Standardand Economy) reset to zero.
CA U T I O N
Do not resett helamp hours unless you have just replacedthe lamp module. Resetting the
lamphours on an oldlamp can damage yourprojector as a result of lamp failure.
