Command Usage

Statistics are only initialized for a power reset. This command sets the base value for displayed statistics to zero for the current management session. However, if you log out and back into the management interface, the statistics displayed will show the absolute value accumulated since the last power reset.

Example

The following example clears statistics on port 5.

Console#clear counters ethernet 1/5

Console#

show interfaces status

This command displays the status for an interface.

Syntax

show interfaces status [interface]

interface

ethernet unit/port

-unit - Stack unit. (Always unit 1)

-port - Port number. (Range: 1-26/50)

port-channel channel-id(Range: 1-32)

vlan vlan-id(Range: 1-4094)

Default Setting

Shows the status for all interfaces.

Normal Exec, Privileged Exec

Command Usage

If no interface is specified, information on all interfaces is displayed. For a description of the items displayed by this command, see “Displaying Connection Status” on page 3-76.
