There is no beep sound when your Walkman is operated.
[Beep Settings] is set to [Off].
Set [Beep Settings] to [On] [Details].
The beep does not sound when your Walkman is connected to the cradle (not supplied), or another device.
Your Walkman gets warm.
Your Walkman may become warm when the battery is being charged and just after charging. The Walkman also may get warm when a large amount of data is transferred. This behavior is normal and not a cause for concern. Set the Walkman aside for a while to allow it to cool down.
The date and time have been reset.
If you left your Walkman for a while with the battery used up, the date and time may be reset.
This is not a malfunction. Charge the battery until appears on the screen, and set the date and time again [Details].
Noise is generated when plugging or unplugging the headphones.
Take off the headphones when plugging or unplugging the headphones. If you plug or unplug the headphones while playing a song or using the Noise Canceling function (NWZ- E573/E574/E575 only), you may hear noise from the headphones. This is not a malfunction.
Cannot add audio podcasts or voice recordings to a bookmark list.
You can add transferred songs only to a bookmark list, and you cannot add audio podcasts or voice recordings.
The alarm does not go off.
[Alarm On/Off] is set to [Off].
Set [Alarm On/Off] to [On] [Details].
The alarm will not sound in the following situations. Connected to a computer.
In USB connection mode. Playing a game.
Recording voice (though the alarm icon flashes in the information area).
The remaining battery power is insufficient.
Charge the battery by connecting your Walkman to a running computer [Details].
