4.7Keyboard

Removing the keyboard

The following describes the procedure for removing the keyboard (See Figure 4-12 and 4-13).

CAUTION: As the keytop may fall out, when handling the keyboard always hold it by the frame and do not touch the keytop.

1.Turn over the computer and open the display.

2.Insert your fingers into the slits of the keyboard holder. Then, lift up the keyboard holder while unlatching.

3.Remove the following screws securing the keyboard.

4.Lift the upper side of the keyboard while releasing the latches and turn the keyboard face down on the palm rest.
