Account Code Calls
Entered before or after a call, Account Codes can be used for a variety of reasons including billing, tracking, and line restriction applications. Account Codes are recorded by the system and can, along with the details of the calls, be printed on a Station Message Detail Recording (SMDR) report.
Forced Account Codes (Verified/Non-Verified)
Some applications require that you enter a Forced Account Code before dialing a telephone number. There are Verified and
You can bypass Forced Account Code requirements with three emergency numbers, including 911. See your System Administrator for these numbers.
1.Access a CO Line.
2.Enter the Forced Account Code.
3.Dial a telephone number.
You hear dial tone after accessing the line.
Note If you used LCR, you will not hear dial tone.
Dial tone stops after entering the first digit. If the account Code is valid, you hear dial tone again. If the code is invalid, you hear a busy tone.
Voluntary Account Codes (Verified/Non-Verified)
Voluntary Account Codes are optional and are used to track calls for client billing purposes. They can be entered after accessing a CO Line or during a call. An exception is a code which is required to change the Toll Restriction classification of your station. This voluntary code gives you access to telephone numbers outside your usual dialing area and must be entered prior to dialing the telephone number.
