Connect ground wire (green or bare) of power supply cord t o
external ground conductor screw. T ighten sc rew.
Co nnect t he other w ires to ou ter ter m in al bl ock screw s .
Tighten screws .
Tighten strain rel ief screws .
Insert tab of terminal block cover into slot of dryer rear panel.
Secure cover with hold-down screw.
You have completed your electrical connection. Now go to
Venting Requirements.

A 4-wire connection is required for mobile homes
and where local codes do not permit the use of 3-wire
connections.
Direct wire cable must have 5 ft (1.52 m) of extra length so dryer
ca n be m ove d if ne eded.
Strip 5" (12 .7 cm ) of ou ter co ver in g fr om en d of cab le, le avin g
bare ground wire at 5" (12.7 cm). Cut 1 / " (3.8 cm) from
3 remaining wire s. St rip insula tion back 1" (2.5 cm). Sha pe ends
of wires into a hook shape.
When connecting t o the terminal block, pl ace the hooked end of
the wire u nder the scr ew of the terminal block (hook facing right),
squeeze hooked end together and tighten screw, as shown.

Remove neutral ground wire from external ground conductor
screw. Connect neutral gro und wire and place the hooked
end (hook facing right) of the n eutral wire (wh ite or center
wire) of direct wire cable under the center screw of the
terminal block. Squeez e hooked ends t oget her. Tighten
screw.
