14.2 The IGMP General Screen
Use the IGMP General screen to configure general IGMP proxy and IGMP packet processing settings.
Click Network Settings > IGMP Setting > General to open the following screen.

LABEL | DESCRIPTION |
IGMP Proxy | Enable this to have the ZyXEL Device reduce multicast traffic by |
| issuing IGMP host messages to a multicast router or server on behalf |
| of the multicast hosts connected to the IGMP proxy device. |

Query Interval | Specify how many seconds since the last query the ZyXEL Device waits |
| before it queries all directly connected networks to gather multicast |
| group membership. |
|
|
Query Response | Specify how many seconds the host allots for gathering membership |
Interval | information from directly connected networks before it sends a report. |
|
|
Robustness | This is the number of times the host sends a report to the ZyXEL |
Value | Device when the ZyXEL Device queries for the host’s status. |
|
|
IGMP Packet | Select one or more of these fields to increase the IGMP network’s |
Process | security or control which types of IGMP packets the ZyXEL Device |
| forwards. |
|
|
Ignore IGMP | Select this to discard IGMP packets from IP addresses other than the |
packets not from | LAN subnet. |
