6:Upgrading the BlackBerry Enterprise Server using a cutover process

For example, to migrate users from a BlackBerry Enterprise Server instance named BES02 to the new BlackBerry Enterprise Server named BES01 using a MAPI profile named BESAdmin, with a database server named sqlserver1, and a new BlackBerry Configuration Database named besmgmt41, and to write migrate.log and status.tmp files to the root directory, type besmigration.exe -s”BESADMIN” “BES02” “BES01” -d “sqlserver1” “besmgmt41” -l migrate.log -t status.tmp -w.

4. Press ENTER.

Stop the old BlackBerry Enterprise Server

After you migrate the user accounts to the new BlackBerry Enterprise Server, you must prevent the old BlackBerry Enterprise Server from connecting to the wireless infrastructure. If you attempt to connect two BlackBerry Enterprise Servers to the wireless infrastructure using the same SRP credentials, the credentials are deactivated.

1.In the Windows Services panel, stop all BlackBerry services.

2.Set the startup type for all BlackBerry services to Disabled.
