Using Your PC for Voice Messages
Using Your PC for Voice Messages
You can use your PC to manage your voice messages with the following applications:
•Outlook Client Plug-in for Microsoft® Outlook 2000, XP, 2003, and 2007
This plug-in installs the Mitel Networks QuickPlay player and the Unified Messaging toolbar in your Microsoft Outlook email client. The QuickPlay player allows you to use the phone or your PC speakers to listen to your voice messages, while the toolbar enables you to reply to, forward, and manage your messages as well as create and send new messages with either voice mail or email. The toolbar also enables you to launch the Web View from Outlook. The plug-in is available for the 32-bit variant of Microsoft Outlook 2000, XP, 2003, and 2007.
•Outlook Client Plug-in for Microsoft® Outlook 2010
This plug-in installs the Mitel NuPoint UM tab in your Microsoft Outlook email client. You can use the buttons on the tab to manage your messages (reply, forward, create new message, etc.), and to specify whether your messages should be played automatically. In addition, the OCP provides multimedia controls that enable you to manage message playback.
The plug-in is available for the 32- and 64-bit variants of Microsoft Outlook 2010.
•Text-to-Speech
Use this feature to listen to Microsoft Outlook email messages from the NuPoint UM Voice mailbox. The text of the email message is converted to speech and played back over the phone.
