WARNING:

Do not use other than the Panasonic battery packs that are designed for use with this rechargeable tool.

Do not dispose of the battery pack in a fire, or expose it to excessive heat.

Do not drive the likes of nails into the battery pack, subject it to shocks, dismantle it, or attempt to modify it.

Do not allow metal objects to touch the battery pack terminals.

Do not carry or store the battery pack in the same container as nails or similar metal objects.

Do not charge the battery pack in a high-temperature location, such as next to a fire or in direct sunlight. Otherwise, the battery may over- heat, catch fire, or explode.

Never use other than the dedicated charger to charge the battery pack. Otherwise, the battery may leak, overheat, or explode.

After removing the battery pack from the tool or the charger, always reattach the pack cover. Other-wise, the battery contacts could be short- ed, leading to a risk of fire.

V. ASSEMBLY

WARNING:

To reduce the risk of injury, always remove battery pack before changing the blade.

Inspection before use

Has the correct jigsaw blade been at- tached for the object to be cut?

Has the correct stem shape and thick- ness of the blade been mounted?

Check if the blade is fixed securely?

Check if the blade is cracked or broken.

Check that there are no foreign ob- jects in the object to be cut.

Installing and removing the blade

Installation

1.Wipe away any cutting dust from the blade and the blade clamp bracket.

2.Lift up the blade Attach/Remove lever.

3.Insert the blade into the blade clamp bracket and set the back of the blade along the roller guide so that the back of the jigsaw blade slides along the roller guide.

4.Release the blade Attach/Remove lever.

When the blade is secured in place then lever will return to its original position.

Check that the back of blade is set- ting in the groove in the roller guide.
