If you have OS X, you must update to version

10.2.4or newer. This is a free update from Apple® Computer. You must also change the AV400’s USB Port setting to ‘Hard Drive’. From the main menu, go to Setup > Settings > USB Port and change the setting to ‘Hard drive’. You will now simply plug the AV400 into your Macintosh® as enumerated above, and within a few seconds, the AV400 will be recognized as a mass storage device (Hard Disk) and mount on the desktop. You can

now use the Hard disk called JUKEBOX like any other external hard disk.

17.3Disconnecting the AV400 from your Computer

Windows Device Mode

Verify that no data is being transferred between your AV400 and your computer (the HDD light on your AV400 is not flickering). You can now safely unplug the USB cable from your AV400 and/or computer.

Hard Drive Mode

DO NOT SIMPLY PULL OUT THE USB CABLE AT ANY TIME!

WARNING: You must properly remove (unmount) your AV400 from the computer before disconnecting the USB cable to avoid loss of data or freezing the computer and/or the AV400.

Windows®

To safely disconnect the AV400 hard disk, click on the system tray remove icon (green arrow as shown below) and follow the instructions. Wait until you get a message saying that you can safely unplug the device before disconnecting the USB cable.
