To install your cable and computer at each chosen computer channel, first plug the Server Cable’s HD44 connector into the matching connector on the CPU-Interface Card. When you’re sure the connection is firmly seated, secure it by tightening the associated thumbscrews.
Now power down the computer and plug the matching connectors at the end of the universal IBM style Server Cable’s video-port, keyboard-port, and mouse-port strands into the appropriate ports on your PC: If it’s a PC/AT compatible, use the 5-pin DIN PC/AT keyboard connector and the DB9 female serial mouse-port connector; if it’s a PS/2, use the 6-pin mini-DIN PS/2 keyboard and mouse connectors. If the Server Cable is an audio type, it will have three additional connectors: two RCA plugs for a mono audio input and stereo output, and a DB9 female connector to attach to another serial port. Attach these to any appropriate audio or serial ports or equipment as desired.
