7.7 Sample System Configurations
This section shows a few examples of money-saving cascaded ServSwitch Multi systems designed around
ServSwitch Multi Hubs. You can call Black Box Tech Support for help in determining whether your ServSwitch
Multi system would benefit from using Hubs and, if so, how best to design your Hub-centered system.
7.7.1 A 16 X128 MATRIX
In this configuration, 16 users can simultaneously access 128 attached computers. Any user can connect to any
computer in the system without limitation or interference from another system user. Should two people need
access to the same computer at the same time, they can share access: Both users can view the computer’s video,
while one user at a time will have keyboard/mouse control (see Section 8.3).
This configuration uses one Hub, sixteen ServSwitch Multi SB chassis to connect computers to the system,
and four ServSwitch Multi EXP chassis to connect the users.
