Modem

Separate DSP Transmit and Receive Modems

The physical layer connection is established by two DSP (Digital Signal Processing) modems. Each modem is dedicated to one direction of the link; transmit or receive.

Adaptive Equalization

The time dispersion of the transmitted signal caused by multipath propagation causes inter- symbol interference (ISI). To compensate for the ISI, an adaptive equalizer is included in the modem.
