9.On the Front Page screen of the control panel, press the Load Media key.
The control panel prompts you to press the key to load media, or to cancel.
10.Press the key to proceed.
The control panel prompts you to advance the media.
11.Press the key to advance the media past the front edge of the platen.
12.Press the key to proceed.
This causes the printer to measure the width of the media. The control panel displays a numeric keypad.

13.Enter the length of the media roll (if it is a new roll) or the length remaining (if it is a partially used roll), and press the Enter key to continue.
To skip this step, press Esc or Enter without entering a value. The printer will not track the amount of media remaining on the roll, and it will be unable to display a warning when the amount of media runs low. The media length will dis- play as “undefined.”
