1- In Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003, the bidirectional-communication components that are installed for HP PCL 5c, PCL 6, and PS unidrivers are limited to TCP/IP connections. EAC is used for autoconfiguration.

2- During installation, Auto Configure works, but is limited to TCP/IP connections. The Update Now feature is not supported in environments where shared Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003 clients are connected to Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003 hosts.

3- This information also applies to Windows Server 2003.
