The Information tab of the HP Advanced Printer Settings contains links to the followig options.

•Device Status. This page provides current status information about your printer.

•Configuration Page. This page provides information about the configuration of your printer.

•Supplies Status. This page provides information about the print cartridge and the total pages printed, and the serial number of the printer.

•Event Log. This page provides information about reported printer errors.

•Device Information. This page shows device information, such as the printer TCP/IP address if applicable, and serial number.

•Control Panel. This page shows the layout of the control panel.

In addition, a section entitled Other Links provides links to off-printer solutions.

Device status

If a printer problem exists, status information (such as whether the printer is online or the toner is low) is available through your Web browser on a computer that is linked directly to the printer. You can view this information without physically going to the printer to identify the status. Refer to the previous screenshot to view the options.

Configuration page

The HP Advanced Printer Settings configuration page provides configuration information about the printer in the same way as the configuration page printed from the printer. The following illustration shows an example of a configuration page viewed remotely through the HP Advanced Printer Settings.
