The HP Color LaserJet 3500 software CD-ROM contains the following options. The text that follows each of the

 

following options is approximately the same text that appears when you put the cursor on the option button.

install printer - This wizard guides you through the installation of your HP Color LaserJet 3500 printing-system software. You are given the choice of performing a Typical Installation or a Custom Installation. If you select Typical Installation, only the necessary software is installed. If you select Custom Installation, you can select the components you want to install.

customization utility - This utility can be used to create a custom software installer for the HP Color LaserJet 3500 series printer that can then be copied to other media, such as a local hard drive or a network drive.

register product - This option can be used to register your HP Color LaserJet 3500 series printer now and to receive the following information at no cost:

•

notification of driver updates

•

technical support updates

•

news about emerging technologies

printer documentation - This option can be used to view the HP Color LaserJet 3500 series printer documentation. The following document options are available:

•user guide

•user reference guide

•install notes

•hp jetdirect guide

For systems that do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 or later installed, you are given the option to install that

 

software. Clicking any of the links to documentation that is provided in the Adobe Acrobat PDF file format opens a

 

dialog box from which you can install Adobe Acrobat Reader software from the HP Color LaserJet 3500 software

 

CD-ROM.
