Deleting a File on Disk

Description Obsolete files can be deleted as an aid to efficient file management.

HOW TO:

Choose DISK OPERATION

FILE

DELETE DELETE FILE .

Choose the directory containing the file to be deleted. See "Accessing

 

 

Directories and Files " page 134.

Enter the filename to be deleted using PREVIOUS CHAR NEXT CHAR

 

 

or press SET , highlight the file to be deleted on the file

 

 

manager display, and press SET .

 

 

The file name can contain up to 12 alphanumeric characters, including

 

 

the filename extension.

To delete the file choose

 

.

 

OK

 

 

A warning "Are you sure

you

wish to continue" is displayed.

 

 

If YES is selected, the file is deleted.

 

 

If NO is selected, the operation is aborted.

 

 

This prevents accidental deletion of a wanted file.
