Makesurethepatientisproperlypositionedinthewheelchairbeforerecliningor
inclining(reverserecline)tomaintainmaximumstabilityandsafety.
AssistantsMUSTbepreparedtosupporttheweightoftheoccupantwhenreclining,or
returningtheoccupantofthewheelchairtothefulluprightposition.Makesuretouse
properbodymechanics(useyourlegs)orseekassistanceifnecessarytoavoidinjury.
ALWAYSengagebothwheellockswhilerecliningorinclining(reverserecline)thewheelchair.
Stability - All Models
Theseatheight,seatdepth,backangle,pivotpointofseatframe,seatingsystem,caster
position,sizeandpositionoftherearwheels,aswellastheuserconditiondirectlyrelateto
thestabilityofthewheelchair.Anychangetooneoranycombinationoftheninemaycause
thewheelchairtodecreaseinstability.TheseadjustmentsMUSTbeperformedbyan
authorizedInvacaredealerorqualifiedtechnician.
