Field-Replaceable Units (FRUs)
Field-replaceable units (FRUs) are CMTS components that can be replaced at th e customer
site. Replacing FRUs requires minimal CMTS downtime. A FRU can be ordered as a sep arate
unit for replacement into the CMTS or for stocking spare parts.
Following is an alphabetical list of G10 CMTS FRUs. See “G10 CMTS Hardware Overview” on
page 10 for a description of each FRU.
