Byusingpasswords,youcanhelppreventyourcomputerfrombeingusedbyothers.Onceyouseta
password,apromptisdisplayedonthescreeneachtimeyouturnonthecomputer.Enteryourpasswordat
theprompt.Youcannotusethecomputerunlessyoutypethecorrectpassword.

Passwordsandsleepmode

IfyouhavesetpasswordsandyouputyourcomputerintosleepmodebypressingFn+F4,youwillbe
promptedtoenterthepasswordwhenresumingoperation.
Ifanyharddiskdriveorthesolidstatedrivehasaharddiskpassword,itisunlockedautomaticallywhen
youresumeoperation.
Note:IfaWindowspasswordhasbeenset,youwillbepromptedtoenterit.
