6If the error:

•Reappears, replace the black (or photo) print cartridge with a new one.

•Does not reappear, reinsert the color print cartridge.

7If the error reappears, replace the color print cartridge with a new one.

Clear Carrier Jam

These are possible solutions. Try one or more of the following:

Remove any obstructions

1Pull the control panel up.

2Raise the cartridge access door.

3Remove any objects blocking the path of the print cartridge carrier.

4Make sure the cartridge carrier lids are closed.

5Close the cartridge access door.

6Close the control panel until it snaps into place.

7Press .

Note: Pressing after clearing the carrier jam of an obstruction will cancel printing and copying jobs but will resume a fax job.

Clear Paper Jam

In the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF):

To clear the paper path:

1Pull the control panel up.
