Scanning a document

Make sure the printer is connected to a computer, and both the printer and the computer are on.
1Load an original document facedown on the scanner glass.
2From the control panel, press Scan Mode.
3Press or repeatedly until the destination to which you want to scan appears.
4Press Start Color or Start Black.
5If you want to save the scanned image, from the software application, click File Save As.
6Enter the file name, format, and location where you want the scanned image saved.
7Click Save.

Scanning a document using the computer

1Load an original document facedown on the scanner glass.
2From the desktop, double-click the Productivity Studio icon.
3Click Scan.
4Select the Document option.
5Click Start.
The scanned document is loaded into your default word processing application. You can now edit the document.
