Installing and removing options

Removing a memory card

Warning: System board electrical components are easily damaged by static electricity. Touch something metal on the printer before touching any system board electronic components or connectors.

1Locate the card to remove.

2Push each latch out at each end of the connector.

3Grasp the option card, and pull it gently out of the connector.

4Place the memory card in its original packaging, or wrap it in paper and store it in a box for protection.

5Replace the metal plate. See Replacing the system board metal plate.
