TROUBLESHOOTING & REPAIR
ENGINE/STATOR/ROTOR REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT

Service and repair should be performed by only Lincoln Electric factory trained personnel. DESCRIPTION
The following procedure will aid the technician in removing and replacing the gasoline engine, stator and rotor for repair or replacement. This procedure is for Onan models only. Some pro- cedures may vary slightly for Kohler models.

MATERIALS NEEDED
5/16" Nut driver
3/8" Wrench or socket wrench 7/16" Wrench or socket wrench 1/2" Wrench or socket wrench 3/4" Wrench
9/16" Wrench
1/2" Box end wrench Diagonal cutters Impact wrench
Loctite 271 thread sealant
3/8" Deep socket
Slot head screw driver Phillips head screw driver Gear puller (small)
Hoist, chains, straps
Feeler gauge (for air gap check) Machine Wiring Diagram Rubber or wooden mallet Torque wrench with 1/2" socket
