3.4Automatically Selecting the Paper Source

If the selected paper drawer runs out of paper while a print job is being copied and a different paper drawer is loaded with paper meeting the following conditions, the other paper drawer is automatically selected so printing can continue. If the optional large capacity cabinet is installed, a maximum of 3,250 copies (with Letter C paper) can be made continuously.

This feature is convenient when making a large number of copies continuously.

Operating conditions

The paper is the same size.

The paper is the same type.

The paper is in the same orientation.

When making a large number of copies continuously, load all paper drawers with paper meeting the conditions listed above.

Order for selecting another paper drawer

When a different paper drawer is automatically selected, the next paper drawer in the following list is chosen.

First priority: 2nd drawer

Second priority: 3rd drawer

Third priority: 4th drawer

Fourth priority: 1st drawer
