5.8 Selecting a Photo/Density Setting

 

 

Specifying the Image Type (“Photo/Density” Settings)

“Text & Photo” setting

Select this setting when copying documents containing both text and images.

“Photo Image” setting

Select this setting when copying documents (photographs) printed on photographic paper.

A smooth copy is produced.

“Printed Image” setting

Select this setting when copying printed documents, such as pam- phlets or catalogs.

“Text” setting

Select this setting when copying documents containing only text.

The edges of copied text are reproduced with sharpness, providing an image that is easy to read.

“Dot Matrix Original” parameter (“Text” setting)

Select this setting when copying documents consisting only of text that appears faint (such as that written with a pencil).

The copied text is reproduced so that it is darker, providing text that is easy to read.

When [Text] is touched, the key for the “Dot Matrix Original” parameter, shown at the left, appears.

“Map” setting

Select this setting when copying documents with a background color or documents containing pencil markings or fine colored lines.

A sharp copy image is produced.

“Copied Image” setting

Select this setting when copying images (documents) printed with this copier.
