Using numbers
You can also use numbers to navigate quickly to programs and settings on the Smart- phone. Just press the number on the keypad that corresponds to the number shown next to the program or setting you want.
For example, in Programs, press 3 on the keypad to open Calendar.

Using the Quick List
The Quick List displays a list of commands, such as locking the Smartphone, locking the Smartphone's keypad, turning off the radio, and the list of available profile types.
To access the Quick List
• Press the Power button, or press and hold the Home key.
Entering text and numbers on your Smartphone
You can enter text and numbers on the Smartphone using the keypad. The Smartphone supports three input modes for entering text and numbers: Multipress, T9, and Numeric. The Multipress and T9 modes are used for entering text, and the Numeric mode is used for entering numbers. When you select a field that requires text or numeric entry, the Smartphone will automatically default to the appropriate input mode. The status indicator on the top of the display shows the input mode you are currently using.
To change input modes
•Press and hold the Asterisk (*) key until the status indicator for the input mode you want is shown on the top of the display.
