Replacing Printer Components

Use the following procedure to replace the print cartridge:

1.Place a drop-cloth or some paper on the table or floor near the printer.

2.Press the button on the top of the printer to open the front cover, and pull the cover all the way open.

3.Remove the old print cartridge from the printer and carefully place it on the drop-cloth.

4.Remove the new print cartridge from its packaging and remove the protective paper sheet from the drum shutter.

5.Rock the print cartridge back and forth. Then, shake it horizontally to ensure that the toner is evenly distributed.
