Beep Volume

The beep volume can be adjusted to two different levels, or turned off en- tirely.

Code/Track ID

Each bar code symbology or MSR track can be assigned a CODE ID charac- ter. This character is added to the beginning of the scanned data. The host can use this character to ensure that the data received came from the appropriate type of symbol.

Scan Verification

In order to insure accuracy of scanned data from poor-contrast bar code labels, a second confirmation swipe can be required before the reader will accept the data. When this option is enabled the reader requires the card to be swiped a second time and both swipes are compared. If they match, the data is considered good.
