All the setup items except the ones which are set by the selector switches are set on the on-screen menus.

1 Press the SET UP ([SHIFT] + [7]) button to transfer operation to the setup menu mode.

The menu screen is displayed on the liquid crystal monitor and video monitor output.

<Note>

Even if ON has been selected as the setup menu item No.30 (MENU LOCK) setting, the menu screen appears and the settings can be checked but they cannot be changed.

2 To perform settings on the menu displayed on the VTR1 side, press the VTR1 button and check that this button’s LED is lighted and that the VTR2 button’s LED is off.

To perform settings on the menu displayed on the VTR2 side, press the VTR2 button and check that this button’s LED is lighted and that the VTR1 button’s LED is off.

3 Push in the search dial to set the jog mode.

Turn the dial and select the item to be set. (The “¢” cursor now moves.)

<Note>

Press the FF or REW button to scroll the menu items to the next or previous page.

4 While holding down the SHIFT button, turn the dial and change the value. The value can be decremented by pressing the “–” button while holding down the SHIFT button and, conversely, incremented by pressing the “+” button while holding down the SHIFT button.

<Note>

To change the settings of setup menu item No.377 (1ST EDIT TC), No.378 (1ST EDIT UB), No.573 (TC PRESET) or No.574 (UB PRESET), press the T SET ([SHIFT] + [3]) button, and use the numeric input buttons to input the value.

The TC PRESET and UB PRESET values are set when the TC generator switch is set to “F-RUN” or “R-RUN”.

Follow the steps below to input characters for setup menu item No.379 (1ST-E TITLE).

1Press the STILL button to display the character

input screen.

2Press the SHIFT button.

The cursor now flashes at the position where the

character by pressing the “+” or “–” button.

4While holding the SHIFT button down, move the character input position by pressing the “FF” or

“REW” button.

5Repeat steps 3 and 4 to input more

characters.

6Upon completion of the character input, release the SHIFT button, and press the STILL button to exit the character input screen.
