Editing without setting the edit IN point (park & edit)

Editing can be performed without setting the VTR1 and VTR2 IN points.

1 Operate VTR1 and VTR2, and locate the places which will serve as the IN points.

2 Press the PREVIEW button.

The position where the PREVIEW button was pressed is automatically set as the edit IN point, and preview is executed.

When the OUT points have not been set either, press the MARK OUT button during the preview at the place which is to serve as the OUT point.

The position where the MARK OUT button was pressed is automatically set as the edit OUT point.

3 Press the AUTO EDIT button to proceed with editing.

<Note>

To proceed with editing while skipping the preview, press the AUTO EDIT button in step 2 instead of the PREVIEW button, and proceed with editing.

The position where the AUTO EDIT button was pressed is automatically set as the IN point, and editing is executed.

Editing using the edit IN point setting only (open-ended editing)

1 Set the VTR1 and VTR2 IN points.

2 Press the PREVIEW button to proceed with preview.

3 During the preview, press the MARK OUT button at the place which will serve as the OUT point.

<Note>

To proceed with editing while skipping the preview, press the AUTO EDIT button in step 2 instead of the PREVIEW button, and proceed with editing.

Press the AUTO EDIT button or the MARK OUT button at the position where editing is to be ended. The position where the button was pressed is registered as the OUT point.

Auto tag editing

With this editing function, the registered edit OUT point is automatically set as the edit IN point of the next editing session (next event).

This enables continuous editing from one event to the next without the need to set the IN points.

This function comes in handy for same position editing.

1 Select REC1, REC2 or ALL as the setup menu item No.313 (AUTO ENTRY) setting.

(This selects the VTR whose IN point is to be automatically set.)

2 Proceed with automatic editing.

3 When the editing of one event is completed and it carries over to the next event, the IN point of the VTR selected in step 1 has already been set so that the remaining edit points are set, and the next event is edited.
